Graduate Assistant
This is the most prestigious of our
opportunities and is reserved for a student with a strong
scholastic record, a demonstrated analytical skill, and
an expressed interest in public service as their career
goal. The
award includes a generous stipend with benefits and tuition
for one year.
To apply students must submit an example of their scholarly
work, a recent transcript, three letters of recommendation,
with a cover letter describing their commitment to public
service. Students need not be financial aid eligible
in order to apply.
The student accepted for the WRI Graduate Assistant award
will work approximately 15 hours a week at the Institute,
assigned to work on at least one major project, to staff
working groups assessing current policy issues and to draft
a key working paper intended to generate policy action.
