Senator Walter Rand Graduate Fellow

This fellowship is an annual award for a graduate student intended to work 20 hours per week for 40 weeks at the Walter Rand Institute.  While at the WRI, the fellow will focus on an identified community development/public policy topic, as well as participate in the full range of WRI projects and activities. 

Students interested in applying/competing for this award should send a 5 page essay on one of the following community development/ public policy issues as it relates to Camden City or Southern New Jersey:

  • Public safety
  • Regional development
  • Not for profit management
  • Community development
  • Economic development

 
Essay should accompany a letter of application summarizing the student’s academic and occupational experience and aspirations, a copy of transcripts, and two letters of recommendation.  Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and need not be financial aid eligible in order to apply.
