Public Safety Initiative
Overview
 

WRI has received funding from the New Jersey Attorney General’s office to work with law enforcement and community agencies on four key crime suppression initiatives in Camden City. WRI provides administrative support, process evaluation and data analysis for these programs.

Camden City Curfew Project
  The Camden City Curfew Project  is designed to prevent youth crime and connect those youth most at-risk of becoming involved in gangs or violence with community resources.
Camden Safer Cities Initiative (CSCI)
  The Camden Safer Cities Initiative brings together law enforcement, supervision agencies and social service providers to improve offender re-entry services.

Camden Community Connections
  Camden Community Connections is an intervention program for young offenders designed to break the chain of criminality in their lives through counseling, educational support and employment skill training.
District Community Collaborative Boards
  Four District Community Collaborative Boards were established in Camden to increase community engagement by providing structured opportunities for citizens, police and government entities to engage in collaborative problem-solving.
